Takeaway snack shop
Suggested size: 70 sq ft or more
A small shop cannot hold much equipment at once, so space and storage need careful planning.
Works: one all-round tradesman, so the job is done with the fewest people in the least time. Made-to-measure steelwork and furniture use the space well and add storage.
Licence: food factory, frozen confection factory or bakery licence (note: a takeaway shop has no seating).

Café and light-meal shop
Suggested size: over 400 sq ft
The shop: usually a simple style, so the fit-out costs less than a typical restaurant and the owner keeps costs under control. Some are upstairs cafés or light-meal shops in commercial buildings, which must meet the food licensing rules and the Lands Department’s requirements.
Works: made-to-measure steelwork and furniture, from measuring and drawings to production. Even on a limited budget you get the café you want. Our experience makes sure the works meet the fire, buildings and other departments’ licensing requirements.
Licence: a Light Refreshment Restaurant Licence, which allows dine-in seating.

Restaurant and hot pot
Suggested size: over 800 sq ft
The shop: needs a General Restaurant Licence and must meet strict licensing requirements. Depending on the type of restaurant, ventilation and fire systems matter most.
Works: we inspect the shop on site, check water, power and ventilation, then plan and carry out the works to meet every licensing requirement for ventilation, fire, water and electricity. Qualified persons test the works and sign the certificates, and we follow every government department’s approval through to the licence.
Licence: General Restaurant Licence, liquor licence and others.

Food factory and others
The shop: usually in an industrial building, so water supply and drainage, power and ventilation need careful checks. Fit-out is practical first, and the cost of entry is usually lower.
Works: free assessment, an on-the-spot fit-out quote and a complete works plan. Our own steel workshop makes large stainless-steel kitchen equipment, cabinets and worktops to measure, from measuring and drawing to production, in as fast as 7 days.
